The opportunity…
The Business Systems Analyst will play a key role in developing and implementing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and Atlassian to meet business requirements. This role will provide Level 2 support for enterprise applications, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests. The analyst will also be responsible for designing, testing, and deploying system changes in compliance with IT policies and processes. With a strong focus on user experience, this role will work closely with stakeholders to deliver efficient and effective solutions that support the organization's evolving needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide second level support in the resolution of incidents and fulfilment of service requests:
- Ensure all incidents and service requests are accurately documented and updated in the designated support system.
- Communicate professionally with the end user community to investigate, validate, verify and deliver support activities.
- Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis in the investigation and resolution of incidents and provide resolutions that protect against re-occurrence.
- Complete support activities within the limits of the service level agreements.
- Assist the end user community in the adoption and efficient use of the organisations’ enterprise applications.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in the efficient and effective use of the organisation’s enterprise applications.
- Work in adherence with the IT department policies, processes and work instructions in the completion of support activities.
- Design, prepare, verify and deploy production changes in the completion of incidents, service requests and problems:
- Prepare and maintain change documentation within the designated support system.
- Conduct and document discovery and design activities in the preparation of production changes to complete the resolution of incidents and the fulfilment of service requests and problems (e.g. system enhancements).
- Work in consultation with the relevant Technical System Owners to validate the appropriateness and quality of the recommended production change.
- Enact the change in adherence with the approved design within the applicable development environment and perform the Functional Unit Test protocols to verify the change.
- Work with the relevant Technical System Owners to review and promote the change to the applicable quality (test) environment.
- Support the relevant Super User, requestor or other end users in the completion of regression and User Acceptance Testing of the change.
- Ensure the change document contains all the necessary information required for the Change Advisory Board to approve the deployment of the change.
- Work with the relevant Technical System Owner in the deployment of the change to the production environment and validate the success of the change.
- Deliver best practice, customer friendly Service Operations that encompass:
- Rapid and reliable fulfilment of service requests correctly delivered on the first attempt.
- Rapid and reliable resolution of service incidents with timely and appropriate communication to affected and responsible parties.
- Management of assigned longer term problems and ensure they are regularly reviewed, prioritised and delivered to customer agreed timeframes.
- Identification and granting authorised users with rights to access and use Business Systems services and enterprise applications conforming with the IT security policy.
- Timely and professional communication on all aspects of Business Systems service operations.
- Complete tasks as assigned based on BAU requests or as directed by the Service Delivery Manager – Digital Applications.
- Deliver against Development Requests and project assignments as directed.
- Deliver against the Continuous Improvement process that addresses a minimum of:
- Service quality improvement that incorporates housekeeping, safety and the environment.
- Adhere to the organisations policies and standards.
- A service orientated culture that strives to deliver exciting, high quality solutions to business needs that work first time, every time.

Experience required:
- At least 2 years of experience with developing and supporting solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform.
- At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft SharePoint Online and 2016
- Two years’ experience in a level 1 or level 2 support role.
- Ability to communicate and document technical concepts, designs and solutions for consumption by technical stakeholders.
- Based on the development platforms and solution options at your disposal, be able to:
- interact with business representatives across all levels of the organisation to determine and document requirements
- develop, document and implement corresponding solutions with supporting process flows
- Define and document post implementation operational models against requirements
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support for developed solutions
- Tertiary qualifications within an IT or suitably related discipline.
Desirable
- ITIL certification
- Exposure and experience administering Atlassian Cloud
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA
- Exposure to Microsoft Generative AI
- Experience with JS
- Experience with Power BI
- Experience migrating Microsoft SharePoint migrations
