About the role:
We are seeking a Quality and Safety Officer to join the Haines Medical Australia group. In this role, the QS Officer will play a key role in the continuous improvement, maintenance and administrative support in all aspects of quality and workplace safety workgroups. The QS Officer's expertise will help ensure Haines' adherence to quality standards, regulatory frameworks and best practices, ultimately supporting our mission to provide high-quality services to the healthcare industry.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality and information management systems to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with operational workgroups to enhance business practices and ensure the systems meet the needs of environmental, water quality, WHS, and operations teams.
- Supporting the implementation of the Quality Assurance Framework, delivering communication across the business for any changes or updates.
- Inspect materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Preparing QA results pack including management review, analysis of trends, errors, breaches, and overall performance and report QA results to relevant internal stakeholders
- Manage and assess compliance risks, providing advice and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Support the development and maintenance of documentation and reporting tools related to quality and compliance activities.
- Conduct and coordinate internal audits as well as undertaking other audits, assessments, and reviews of operational processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist with the delivery of training and communication regarding quality systems and compliance requirements.
Experience required (including technical)

- 3+ years’ experience in a quality assurance role, regulatory role or similar discipline
- Preference will be given to a qualification in internal auditing, WHS and ISO9001:2015
- Proven experience in professional writing of procedures and compliance documentation
- Comprehensive Microsoft Office skills – Outlook/Word/Excel/Teams
- Salesforce experience is advantageous
- MS SharePoint experience is advantageous
